Symptoms of a failing EGR valve

Common symptoms include limp mode, EML/check engine light, hesitation under acceleration, increased smoke, rough idle, reduced MPG and EGR-specific fault codes. If your diesel keeps throwing the same EGR error after cleaning or replacement, the ECU strategy is usually the cause.

How does the software solution work?

We modify the ECU map so the engine no longer relies on the EGR valve in the way the factory strategy demands. The valve can be cleaned, replaced, blanked or left in place depending on your situation. The result is a diesel that drives properly and stops triggering EGR-related faults.
